Looking towards Northfield with the goods yard and its signal box in the distance under Station Road bridge. The down platform on the left was raised throughout its length when the line was quadrupled. The two new structure on the island platform and the slow up (extreme right) platform have modesty walls built in front protecting the entrance to the gentlemens toilets. 17th February 1957
