LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Ex-LMS 4-6-0 Black 5 No 44814 at the head of an express passes through the station on 5th May 1953. The station has been closed for the best part of twelve years but is still substantially intact. Number 44814 was built by Derby works some three years after the station had closed in October 1944 and remained in service until withdrawn from Crewe (South) shed in September 1967 to be scrapped by G Cohen of Kettering in February 1968.
