Ex-MR 1F 0-6-0T No 1700, a member of the MR's 1377/1552
class shunts on the freight only line to Central goods yard - photo taken from
footbridge at Five Ways Station. Number 1700 was built at Derby works in
February 1879 and lasted in service for nearly 68 years being withdrawn from
Rowsley shed in January 1947 and scrapped in June 1947 by Derby works.
