LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

MR 1P Johnson 0-4-4T No 1353 was a Gloucester engine at the
time of this photograph, 18th September 1948, and is seen having just worked a
Ashchurch to Evesham goods train. Although a wheel arrangement more associated
with passenger work this class was associated with freight train work on the
southern end of line. Number 1353, was built by Dubbs & Co to order 2849 in
May 1892 and only briefly wore its BR running number 58059 before being
withdrawn from Bedford shed in September 1950 for scrapping by Derby works
circa 1950.
