LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

View of Evesham station looking towards Ashchurch after the 1904 alterations have occurred. This photograph shows several details obscured in other images including the angled station nameboard, the passenger warning sign suspended from underneath the passenger footbridge and the water crane painted in Denby Pottery cream and Venetian red. The water crane is of special interest as it shows the water was turned on or off by the small turn key at its base whilst the arm was secured from swinging by a chain attached to the top of the bag and the post on the platform. The fire devil (brazier) looks very small in comparison to others seen on other stations.
