LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

The exterior and forecourt of Evesham station which was located on the up platform. The station building was first built in 1864 some one hundred years prior to this photograph being taken. Goods traffic commenced on 1st July whilst the passenger services commenced on 1st October. Initially the station was a terminus as these services were limited to Ashchurch as the line to Redditch did not open until 1866.
