The two-door 'box' with sloping roof on the right corner is thought to have housed fire fighting equipment. Whilst only a handful of one-coach trains, 3rd class only, called at the station each day the station is well adorned with posters.

The purpose of the pole seen in the foreground is unclear as there are no other poles along the route when others photographs are viewed. The pole is of the type used for telegraph lines and has metal steps fixed from a low height. The is a lamppost is oil lit as would be other lamps used at the station which would be maintained by the station staff.
