Close up of the variety of wagons found outside the warehouse in the early 1930s

This close up of image 'mrch498' shows the variety of wagons found outside the warehouse. The majority of open wagons are being used for the transportation of coal and are owned either by the merchant selling the coal on to domestic customers, the carrier or by the colleiry producing the coal. In the photograph above we can see the following businesses providing this service, the LMS - the carrier, Griff - the colleiry, in this case from Nuneaton and Birmingham Co-operative Society, George Harwood and Alfred Jukes all coal merchants.
