This close up of image 'mrcb36' shows platform 2, the line
to Water Orton, and its platform facility. The sign on the left reads 'Alight
here for the Fair' in four languages, English, French, German and Spanish. The
door in the gable end is to the waiting room whilst the sigb for the buffet
indicates its on the opposite platform.
There are two unusual signs, 'A4' above the posters and 'A5'
on the front of the building towards the opposite end. They probably provide an
indication to DMU drivers, similar to the modern scene, giving and indication
where the train shuld stop. The two other signs under the canopy are for a
'Gentlemens Toilet', far end by the A5 sign and 'Platform 2', to the right of
the buffet sign.
