Looking towards Redditch from the passenger footbridge which shows the sharp curvature of the line. The first three hundred and fifty yards were doubled in the mid-1890s which required the down platform to be built. Since the view in image 'mrbg615b' the platform either side of the waiting room has a large hedge portraying its rural position. The double track ended at 'Barnt Green Single Line Junction' signalbox. The waiting room chimney has been reduced in height and a chimney pot substituted for the more elaborate original. C1949
