Looking from the LMS built signal box, opened on 24th April 1932, looking towards the junction with the GWR branch curving to the right and the MR line to Redditch stretching away in the distance. The coal stacking area to the extreme right was operated by Shrimptons whilst the hut and area beyond and under the trees was occupied by Butlers. Before 1930 the area beyond the coal merchants was used for 3 oil storage tanks and ancillary buildings. Summer 1949
