In this close up of image "mra133a" what appears to be a GWR railcar is standing in the throat of the goods yard.

This view may give the mistaken impression that the new signal box controlling access to the yard is sited on the up platform (to the left). However the Birmingham route passes in front of the signal box as it curves away from the station whilst the GWR branch line to Hatton passes to the right.
