Looking towards Wolverhampton with the station in the distance and the canal to the left. The four platforms of this small suburban station are easily seen. It is believed, and the state of the platforms would seem to support, that the two lines to the right handled the local passenger traffic whilst those on the left were used by the fast through expresses and other services. 1st June 1962
