Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 'G2a' No 49244 is seen in the company of another locomotive of the same class in June 1951. Number 49244 was built At Crewe Works in October 1914 and was to last less than a year in service after this photograph was taken being withdrawn from Rugby shed in April 1952 and scrapped shortly afterwards.
