Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 'G2' 7F No 49452 stands alongside an unidentified ex-LMS Stanier 2-6-2T on 28th September 1956. Number 49452 was built at Crewe shortly before grouping in June 1922 and lasted 40 years in service being withdrawn in December 1962 from Bescot shed. However it was in store for nearly eighteen months as it wasn't scrapped until June 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
