This view shows the track which existed after the station was demolished. Clearly the passing loop was still in existence on 9th July 1956 when this photograph was taken. As the track is still in place some twenty years after the station was demolished it would appear that the point work was still in use at the very least at this end on the old station.

The points might have been used as catch points as the line would still need to be protected. What is unknown however is how the points were controlled as the ground frame and the staff that worked them were lost with the demolition of the station.
