Ex-LNWR 5XP 4-6-0 large boilered Claughton class No 5972 stands in front of Rugby's No 2 shed with one of the coal stacks behind circa 1933. Built as LNWR No 1726 at Crewe works in March 1920 it received its LMS running number in March 1927 and remained in service for another ten years being withdrawn in April 1937 for scrapping by Crewe works.
