LMS 2-6-0 'Crab' No 13073 reverses to the turntable ready for its next trip on 17th August 1928. Note the Great Central Railway'd viaduct on the right. Built by Crewe works in August 1927, No 13073 was renumbered by the LMS as No 2773 in February 1935 and by British Railways as 42773 in August 1948. It remained in service until November 1962 when it was withdrawn from Birkenhead shed and scrapped in February 1963 at Horwich works.
