LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5647 'Sturdee' and ex-LNWR 3P 4-4-0 George V class No 5344 'Bloodhound'  in front of Rugby No 2 shed

LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5647 'Sturdee' and ex-LNWR 3P 4-4-0 George V class No 5344 'Bloodhound' stand alongside each other in front of Rugby No 2 shed circa 1936. Number 5647 was built at Crewe works in January 1935 and lasted in service until April 1967 when it was withdrawn from Holbeck shed near Leeds being scrapped in September 1967 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge. Number 5344 was built as LNWR No 1532 at Crewe works in May 1911 and received its LMS running number in May 1927 running in service for nearly ten years before it was withdrawn in January 1937 for scrapping by Crewe works.
