View of a long line of locomotives standing either side of the coal stack in front of the Engine Repair Workshop. The locomotives are standing on the line which would have been used by the coal wagons when the stacks were built. The coal stacks were built using the same skills as those used to build 'dry walling' in the countryside namely forming an external wall out of large interlocking blocks and infilling with variable size coal lumps. The fields on the left are a now an industrial park. C1934
