Ex-LNWR 4P 4-6-0 Prince of Wales class No 25675 'Spinx' stands outside No 1 shed on one of the pit roads with former LNWR water tank in the distance on 24th May 1936. Built as LNWR No 1466 by the North British Locomotive Company in January 1916, No 25675 was renumbered by the LMS as No 5675 in July 1926 later to be added to the duplicate list by adding 20000 to the number. As No 25675 it remained in service until August 1936 when it was withdrawn for scrapping at Crewe.
