Ex-LNWR 5XP 4-6-0 Claughton class No 6017 'Breadalbane'
stands alongside the signal plant. Number 6017 was built as LNWR No 169 at
Crewe works in April 1921 and received its name in March 1923. It received its
LMS running number in November 1926 and lasted in service until October 1940
when it was withdrawn from service to be scrapped at Crewe works.
