Rugby Shed: lnwrrm923

LMS 4-6-0 'Black 5' No 5006 stands alongside LMS 2-6-0 No 2930 on the road in front of 'No 1' shed at Rugby on 1st December 1935. Number 5006 was built at Crewe works in April 1935 and remained in service until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from Crewe South shed to be scrapped by TW Ward Ltd of Killamarsh in December 1967. Number 2930 was built at Crewe works in May 1931 and lasted in service until August 1961 when it was withdrawn from Canklow shed for scrapping by Horwich works in September 1961.
