LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6112 'Sherwood Forester' is
seen in original condition approaching the turntable by the GC bridge at the
head of a train (on the negative you can just see a non corridor end of coach)
on 23rd June 1928. Number 6112 was built by the North British Locomotive Co to
order 23607 in October 1927 and remained in service until May 1964 when it was
withdrawn from Annesley shed following an accident the previous month and was
finally cut up in September 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
