Looking south from the wooden bridge towards the station with Rugby's No 5 signal cabin on the right

Looking south from the wooden bridge towards the station with Rugby's No 5 signal cabin on the right and AEI, the former BTH works, on the left. Taken from the same footbridge as 'lnwrrm723' but some one hundred feet to the right. The coal dumped in front of the buffer stops will have been placed there to supply both the Permanent Way gang using the linerside hut for mess purposes and for the 'bobbies' in the 'signal cabin', the latter being the LNWR's and GCR's name for this building whereas most railway companies in the country used the more familiar description 'signal box'.
