LNWR 3P 4-4-0 George V class No 2498 'Cyprus' pilots LNWR 4-6-0 Claughton class No 668 'Rupert Guiness' on an up Liverpool express leaving Rugby. Built in July 1911 at Crewe No 2498 was renumbered by the LMS in September 1927 and ran until December 1936 when it was finally withdrawn. Number 668 was also built at Crewe, in September 1914, and was given the LMS number 5915 in June 1927 before being withdrawn in 1934 for scrapping at Crewe works. 1920-3
