LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6111 'Royal Fusilier' with straight smokebox deflectors at the head of an up express. Number 6111 was built by the North British Locomotive Company to order 23606 in October 1927 and remained in service for thirty-six years being withdrawn in October 1963 from Annesley shed for scrapping in November 1963 at Crewe works.
