LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5725 'Repulse' pilots classmate locomotive LMS 4-6-0 No 5676 'Codrington' on a down express circa 1946. Number 5725 was built at Crewe works in September 1936 and lasted in service until December 1962 when it was withdrawn from Darnall shed, Sheffield. It was stored for fifteen months before being scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in March 1964. Number 5676 was built at Crewe works in December 1935 and lasted in service until withdrawn from Crewe North shed in September 1964 and was also scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in January 1965.
