BR built Ivatt 3MT 2-6-2T Tank Engine No 41228 is seen at
the rear of an up two-coach passenger train which means that it is operating in
push/pull mode and has just arrived from Leamington. Number 41228 was built at
Crewe works in October 1948 and remained in service until June 1964 when it was
withdrawn from Nine Elms shed to be cut up in November 1964 by G Cohen of
Kettering.
