Ex-LMS 4-6-2 Coronation Scot class No 46249 'City of Sheffield' stands at the head of the down 'Royal Scot'. Number 46249 was built at Crewe works in April 1944 and lasted in service until November 1963 when withdrawn from Polmadie shed for scrapping in December 1963 at Crewe works.
