Close up showing the configuration of the train shed which had two ridged roofs at either end and two bow roofs in the centre. The bow roof portion of the train shed covered the middle portion of the station where the scissor crossovers were located. The two ridged sections of the train shed at the London end of the station covered either the up or down platform together with the avoiding line as well as the bay platforms. On the right is the structure for carriage works with the signal section behind.
