Rugby Shed: lnwrrm1052

LNWR 0-6-0 'Super DX' No 3121 resplendent in its lined black livery stands in line at the shed. Its super classification meant it was fitted with vacuum brakes so it could also operate passenger trains. It also has the 'new' circular smokebox door which replaced the earlier 'top hung' model which was always prone to leakage and not at all user friendly when it needed to be opened for cleaning the smokebox.
