Rugby Shed: lnwrrm1039
Ex-LNWR 3P 4-4-0 Precursor class No 5303 'Argus' stands in
steam on the roads in front of the shed on 31st March 1935. Originally built at
Crewe works as LNWR No 303 in February 1905 it received its LMS running number
in February 1927 before it was placed on the duplication list by the addition
of the 20,000 series. It was finally withdrawn in October 1936 for scrapping at
Crewe works.
