LMS 4-6-0 5XP Patriot class No 5546 'Fleetwood' stands outside No 1 Shed in steam and ready to leave for its next turn of duty on 3rd November 1946. Number 5546 was built at Crewe works in March 1934 but did not receive its name until July 1938, it remained in service until June 1962 when it was withdrawn from Dallam shed near Warrington and was scrapped at Crewe works in August 1962.
