Ex-LNWR 2P Renown class 4-4-0 No 5117 'Polyphemus' stands next to coal stacks after turning on the turntable with driver oiling engine on 13th August 1930. Rebuilt from a Jubilee class locomotive as LNWR No 1929 at Crewe works in April 1899 it received its LMS No in February 1924 and remained in service for just a few months after this photograph was taken being withdrawn in December 1930 to be scrapped at Crewe works.
