Ex-LNWR 3P 4-4-0 Precursor class No 5250 'Færie Queene' is seen on the turntable having been turned ready for service on 2nd April 1929. Number 5250 was originally built by Crewe works as LNWR No 1433 to order 4547 in April 1906, renumbered as LMS No 5250 in June 1927 it remained in service for nearly a further seven years being withdrawn in January 1936 to be scrapped by Crewe works.
