The steps to the two platforms were protected from inclement weather by open sided structures covered by curved corrugated iron sheeting. The building on the down platform appears to be identical to that seen on the up platform. The structure is also of timber construction with slate tiled roof and comprises working forward, the Gentlemen's urinals, ladies waiting room, and booking office combined with the general waiting room. The lighting appears to be electric based on the small bowl suspended from the lamp post.
