Monument Lane Shed: lnwrmlsh80

On the right can be seen ex-LNWR 2P 4-4-2T Precursor Tank No 6782 whilst immediately in front of the camera is ex-LNWR 2P 0-6-2T Watford-Tank No 6883 both standing cold behind the shed in May 1937.

Number 6782 was built at Crewe works in May 1892 and lasted in service for 46 years before being withdrawn from Monument Lane in June 1938. Number 6883 was built at Crewe works in October 1888 and lasted longer than No 6782 being withdrawn from Bletchley in May 1948 to be scrapped by Crewe works in June 1948.
