Looking towards Birmingham as an unidentified ex-LMS 4-6-0 Stanier Black 5 passes Monument Lane goods yard. Brian Swancott, a former passed fireman at the shed, writes "the water tank on the left had been there longer than I had been working on the railway. It was functional but rarely used".
