This close up of image 'lnwrmlsh1510 shows behind the locomotives (right to left is an ex-LMS 0-6-0 4F, ex-LMS 0-6-0 3F No 43822 at its rear and ex-LMS 4-6-0 Black 5 No 44863) the wall of the shed after the first section of roofing had been removed. To the right of the camera, out of shot, was the Pump House, Bore Hole and Accumulator, the former being built in 1939.

Number 43822 was an ex-MR Class 2736 design built by Derby works in February 1908 and lasted in steam longer than shed being withdrawn from Buxton shed in August 1962 to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in July 1963. Number 44863 was built by the LMS at Crewe works in January 1945 and lasted in service until withdrawn from Edge Hill shed in May 1967 to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in January 1968.
