This close up of image 'lnwr1510' shows the sidings furthest away from the yard's entrance which was off the Wolverhampton to New Street mainline. Two or three ex-LMS 4-6-0 Stanier Black 5s can be seen in steam indicating they have been prepared for their next turn of duties. The Water Softener Tank and associated buildings are just to the left and rear of the locomotive on the left. To the right of this stabling point was a builder's yard and beyond that, the Birmingham Canal. Behind the shed at a higher level was Sheepcote road and Vincent Street which effectively restricted the shed's development throughout it's life.
