LMS Route: Rugby to Leamington Spa (Avenue)

Looking towards Rugby from the Honingham Hill road bridge. The junction was brought into existence with the opening of the single branch line to Weedon on 1st August 1885 and continued to be in service until exactly 100 years later when the line closed following the loss of the contract to haul chalk to Southam Cement works on 1st August 1985, the line being lifted the following year.
