Looking towards Coventry from the passenger footbridge shortly after the end of WW II. The signal box that controlled the exchange sidings can be seen in the distance. Visibility was always extremely important to the railways and even more so in the case of busy exchange sidings hence the Signal Box's elevation. The sagging canopy is in need of attention and has been temporarily supported with a prop on the right.
