Looking towards Rugby and Weedon as Signal & Telegraph workmen replace the old LNWR lower quadrant signals to be replaced by the upper quadrant version. The LNWR signals were mounted on timber posts whilst their replacements were mounted on metal poles. The water crane on the right is a GWR unit used primarily by goods trains leaving the exchange sidings. C1952
