Ex-LNWR 1P 2-4-2T, Precursor Tank No 46749 on an autotrain
to Rugby or Weedon. These tanks were also known as 5' 6" radial tanks
reflecting Webbs method of guiding the leading and trailing axles and the size
of the driving wheels. Number 46749 was over 50 years old by the time this
photograph was taken being built at Crewe in May 1897. It was withdrawn from
Warwick Milverton shed in February 1952 and scrapped later in the year.
