LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

BR Standard Riddles 9F 2-10-0 No 92013, wearing a 2D shed plate, is in an extremely dirty condition whilst at the head of a coal train a few hundred yards short of Kenilworth Junction. Number 92013 was part of the first batch of 9Fs built being constructed at Crewe in June 1954. Whilst it lasted longer than many of its classmates it still saw very little service in comparison to earlier generations of locomotives being withdrawn from Saltley shed in September 1966. It remained in store until the following year being scrapped by G Cohen of Kettering in May 1967.
