LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Ex-LNWR 0-6-2T 1P No 6660 has just exchanged the token with the signalman as it accelerates away from the signal box box running tender towards Leamington. Number 6660 was already over 40 years old when this photograph was taken being built at Crewe in June 1893. Records show that the locomotive never saw BR ownership being withdrawn from an unknown location in September 1947 and scrapped at Crewe in December 1947.
