The fireman of ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48386, of 5E shed, demonstrates the art of handing over the staff as the train leaves the single line and proceeds onwards to Leamington and beyond. Number 48386 was built by Horwich works in February 1945 and lasted in service until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from Rose Grove shed and later scrapped by T W Ward Ltd of Killamarsh in January the following year.
