Looking towards Coventry with the 'Station Steps' footbridge at the end of the platform. The original level crossing was replaced by these steps in 1885. It is thought that the photograph was taken by British Railways as part of a series recording the line to aid design of the electrification plan that was originally mooted to occur with the electrification of the West Coast Mainline. Whilst a number of bridges were lifted to allow overhead cables clearance the plan was abandoned due to financial constraints. 29th Jan 1958
