London Midland Scottish Railway Route: Nuneaton to
Leamington
Kenilworth Station: lnwrk159
The exterior of the station building seen from Station Road.
The grandeur of the 1884 station seen earlier has gone showing just how
important the canopy was to the balance and presentation of the station. The
canopy had its glass removed at the beginning of the Second World War as a
safety precaution in case of bomb blasts. The station was not in the town
centre so it was necessary for passengers to be transported by either privately
owned horse-drawn vehicles or by cabs.
